For each month of 2019 I’ve chosen a new way to try and be more sustainable. Want to join me for any of these challenges? Let’s keep each other accountable!
January – Winter Capsule Wardrobe
28 pieces of clothing for 31 days! You can check out my progress on my Instagram stories each day in January, and see all the pieces I chose in this blog post.
February – No Straws or Single-Use Cups
I’m getting ready to carry around my tumbler and some reusable straws in Feb, cause you know I gotta have iced coffee year-round!
March – Plastic-Free Kitchen
No plastic wrap and Ziploc bags for me!
April – Zero Food Waste
Everything I buy or get at a restaurant gets eaten, no exceptions.
May – Spring Capsule Wardrobe
Same concept as January but with warm-weather clothes! We will also be moving this month, so it might be easier to have fewer options!
June – 5-min Showers
I am only going to use 5 minutes-worth of water during showers! Saving time, money, and agua.
July – Sustainability Swaps While Traveling
Currently taking suggestions on this one. We will be going on our honeymoon in July so I would love to hear your ideas for sustainable travel.
August – No Dryer
Warm summer sun means clothesline time for me!
September – Introducing Sustainability Practices into My Business
I would also love suggestions on this one. I want to build sustainability into the fabric of my business, how do you practice sustainability in your entrepreneurial journey?
October – Composting
We’ll start a healthy little pile before the winter sets in.
November – Sustainable Gifting
Using paper bags as gift wrap? Purchasing from companies with eco-friendly practices? TBD.
December – TBD – Year in Review
Currently accepting suggestions!
