Whenever Eliot & I travel to a new place, I always try to reach out to a local couple on Instagram and set up a photoshoot for while we are in the area. Meeting with new people and shooting in places I’ve never been helps me try new things with my photography. Which is why I am totally in love with this beach couple session! Looking at these photos makes me excited to shoot on Cape Cod and the North Shore this summer!
The Couple
Jenna & Lucas are house flippers, interior designers, bloggers and first-time parents! When I found their work on Instagram, I knew right away that we would have a lot in common. They love to travel and Eliot and I were about halfway through our first house renovation at that time, so we had a lot of questions for them!
This session is one of my favorites from 2019 and I love looking back at these photos and feeling inspired by the love, passion and energy that these two brought to their session. They just found out they were pregnant before this shoot but they hadn’t learned the sex of their baby yet! Jenna had a feeling it would be a girl, so she brought an adorable pair of pink shoes as a prop. And they were right! They welcomed their daughter Esmé Rose in August.
Check out Jenna & Lucas’ blog and Instagram for beautiful home inspo, how-tos and the best behind the scenes stories EVER!
