Acton Boxborough Senior, Kaitlyn suggested the Acton Arboretum for her senior photos and I am so glad she did! We found a variety of backgrounds; a field of flowers, trees, picnic benches, and they all came together for a perfect session. We ended our shoot at West Acton Villageworks to get some of the clean lines from their beautiful new buildings, and that was it! A clean, simple, stunning senior session all within two miles of ABRHS.
For senior sessions, I usually suggest that you bring three outfits. First, something fun and trendy that highlights your style. Second, jeans and a solid t-shirt. And third, something a little more dressed up. Sometimes, students choose to wear a uniform or bring something to represent an activity that they participate in, but like Kaitlyn, you don’t have to!
Props don’t make your session unique, you do!
We found a small patch of wild flowers that looked like a whole field from this angle, so we made them take up the whole frame for an awesome summer-y effect.
Also, I love the pop of red from her Converse!
Even though natural backgrounds are my favorite, I try to take some photos with buildings in the background during each senior photo session to add variety to your photos. Buildings also add clean lines to photos, giving them a polished look. I love Villageworks as a local photo location because it has a variety of textures that add something special to Acton Boxborough Senior photos.
